A group of 10 teachers, including their Chaplain, from St Paul's Catholic school in Bergen, Norway made a short study visit to Glasgow recently as they planned for the introduction of a new secondary phase to their school in Norway where there only four Catholic schools at present. The group were most impressed by whay they had previously discovered about the work of Scotland's Catholic schools that they had to come to see for themselves.
Their impressions were strengthened by their visits to Turnbull High School, Bishopbriggs, St Peter the Apostle High School in Clydebank and Notre Dame High School in Glasgow. In each school they were warmly welcomed by pupils and staff before discussing school planning, learning and teaching, appropriate to the context of the Catholic school. The group also participated in a day of professional development activities organised by SCES in Turnbull Hall, the Catholic Chaplaincy of the University of Glasgow.
